BENGALURU: A 34-year-old woman on a scooter was allegedly sexually harassed by a stranger in the afternoon recently. The miscreant, also on a scooter, touched her inappropriately and made vulgar comments.The Aug 11 incident happened between 2.45pm and 3.05pm on Mylasandra Road in Electronics City. The woman, a teacher and resident of Hulimavu, told Electronics City police she was on the way to pick her son up from school in Mylasandra. The miscreant, on a two-wheeler, told her there was something stuck in her vehicle. She stopped the scooter on the roadside and he rode away. The woman didn’t find anything stuck. After some 100 metres, the same person approached her again, insisting that a plastic bag was stuck near her scooter’s wheel. She stopped again and the miscreant started passing obscene comments and touching her inappropriately. She raised an alarm and managed to ride away after noting down his registration number — KA-51-JH-9762.After returning home, she discussed the incident with her family and lodged a police complaint. A senior officer said they have got clues about the miscreant, who is on the run.
