• Location: City/area you tag when uploading news, and device location if you grant permission (used to show local news relevant to you).
• Camera & Media: Videos and photos you choose to upload for news reporting.
• Comments: Name and comment text you submit on videos.
• Usage Data: Basic app usage such as videos viewed, for improving the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To display news content and videos to users
• To let reporters upload and manage their news content
• To show relevant local news based on location
• To allow comments and community interaction
• To detect and remove misleading or inappropriate content

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate the app:

• Cloudflare R2 — stores video and image files
• MongoDB Atlas — stores app data securely
• YouTube API — displays YouTube video content within the app

These providers may process data according to their own privacy policies.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Reporter names and video content are publicly visible within the app and on our website as part of the news publishing function.

5. Data Retention

Uploaded videos and comments are retained as part of our news archive unless removed by an administrator for policy violations.

6. Children’s Privacy

Public Samachar is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

You may request removal of content you’ve uploaded or comments you’ve posted by contacting us using the details below.
