Bengaluru: The Times of India’s Leaders on Campus series is heading to its third edition for this academic year, with an exciting spotlight on one of India’s fastest-growing frontiers: Drone technology.The Great Eastern PU College (powered by Taproot Group of Institutions) is the venue for this session Friday (Sept 26) at 11.30am for the session, Careers in India’s drone revolution.Drones are rapidly transforming industries like agriculture, infrastructure, defence and disaster management. For today’s students, this sector represents not only thrilling career possibilities but also entrepreneurial opportunities to shape the future of mobility and automation.At the Leaders on Campus event, students will hear from Rithika Agnishwar, co-founder and chief administrative officer of Garuda Aerospace, India’s leading drone company. Rithika’s journey is a story of resilience and leadership, building Garuda into a nationally recognised powerhouse that has partnered with govts, corporates and communities. A licensed drone pilot herself, she led projects in agriculture, defence, industry and public service, breaking barriers in male-dominated fields and inspiring a new generation of innovators.At this session, Rithika will share insights from her journey, highlighting how to seize opportunities in drone technology, the challenges and rewards of building future-ready businesses and the vast career avenues in India’s booming drone sector.Ahead of the talk, The Times of India is hosting a thematic quiz on the drone ecosystem exclusively for college students of Bengaluru. The quiz will run for two days, featuring four questions each day (eight in total). Students who answer all eight questions correctly will stand a chance to be featured in TOI.
