UGC NET result June 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the UGC NET June 2026 results for 84 subjects on August 28, 2026. The examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across 655 examination centres in 286 cities and covered 87 subjects.The examination was held on June 22, June 23, June 24, June 25, June 29, June 30 and July 05, 2026. The NTA said examinations for English, Commerce and Sociology will be conducted again on September 09 and September 10, 2026.UGC NET June 2026 result figuresFor the 84 subjects for which results have been declared, 7,73,806 candidates registered and 6,07,151 appeared. A total of 4,241 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor.Another 45,904 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor and admission to PhD, while 97,434 candidates qualified for PhD only. The registered candidates included 4,30,195 female candidates, 3,43,575 male candidates and 36 candidates in the third gender category. The results were subsequently processed using the answer keys finalised by the experts, according to the NTA press release.Re-examination candidates to wait for scorecardsCandidates from English, Commerce and Sociology will not receive their final scorecards until their examinations are re-conducted. The NTA said these candidates may see an “Invalid Application Number/Password” message if they attempt to access their UGC NET June 2026 scorecard before the re-examination.Their results and scorecards will be made available only after the examinations scheduled for September 09 and September 10, 2026.Scorecards and eligibility verificationCandidates from the 84 subjects can log in to the official UGC NET website to view, download and print their scorecards. The NTA said eligibility criteria, self-declaration and other required documents of qualified candidates will be verified by the concerned authorities according to the norms specified in the UGC NET June 2026 information bulletin.
