Top stocks to buy today on September 3, 2026

Top stock market recommendations: Bank of Maharashtra, Glenmark Pharma, and Tata Technologies have been shared as the top stocks to buy today on September 3, 2026 by Aakash K Hindocha, Vice President – Research, Nuvama Professional Clients Group/Nuvama Wealth. The analyst has also shared technical views on Nifty and Bank Nifty.Bank of Maharashtra (BUY):

  • LCP: Rs 82.4
  • Stop Loss: Rs 78
  • Target: Rs 88

Among PSU banks, Bank of Maharashtra remains our top pick, currently stock is consolidating around its 20 DMA with strong volume on up days compared to down days. Additionally, on a monthly timeframe, the volatility seems to be compressing and heading towards an upside burst once the broader market picks up pace.Glenmark Pharma (BUY):

  • LCP: Rs 2468
  • Stop Loss: Rs 2340
  • Target: Rs 2700

The stock has recently broken out into uncharted territory with strong daily candles. The pharma sector is showing relative strength compared to the broader market. Glenmark Pharma has recently retested its breakout zone of 2400 and is now expected to continue its run up to make fresh all-time highs.Tata Technologies (BUY)

  • LCP: Rs 815
  • Stop Loss: Rs 775
  • Target: Rs 940

The stock is currently consolidating its gains post a cup and handle pattern breakout on weekly charts seen in the first week of August. It has gained more than 50% since bottom made in March and among the strong names in IT space. Post consolidation of its gains, further momentum is likely to continue.Index View: NiftyNifty broke a crucial trendline which was acting as a support from the last 3.5 months and closed below the same. This was majorly due to oil price spike on fresh escalating situation in West Asia conflict. It will be crucial to see if we get a follow through. In case it regains the trendline in the next couple of sessions, we expect Nifty to test 200 DMA zone of 24700-800. Any follow-through in downside will take Nifty towards 23650 level. At this juncture, risk reward is favourable for longs.Bank NiftyBank Nifty is showing more resilience than Nifty. It remains a buy on dip candidate unless it closes below 56800 mark with strong daily bearish candle. On the upside, we are looking for a 58500-59000 zone as our initial target.(Disclaimer: Recommendations and views on the stock market, or any other asset classes or personal finance management tips given by experts and analysts are their own.
