Stock market today: Dalal Street tumbles in opening trade; Sensex falls over 500 points, Nifty50 below 24,250
Stock market began the session in red, with both benchmarks plunging 0.5% in opening trade. NSE Nifty 50 was trading at 24,211.15, down 120.45 points (0.49%), while BSE Sensex slipped 470.48 points (0.60%) to 77,680.97. The fall comes as crude prices have once again breached $90 per barrel mark amid Middle East tensions.
