No intention to quit politics, Nitin Gadkari clarifies
Statement taken out of context, not political: Gadkari’s office.

NEW DELHI: Road transport minister Nitin Gadkari’s office said on Tuesday that his remark that the younger generation should be given more responsibility as “he could no longer take on as much work as before”, had been misinterpreted to suggest that he intended to quit politics. In a statement clearly prompted by speculation triggered by the minister’s comment on Sunday, his office emphasised that Gadkari’s remarks were “specifically about the Laxmanrao Mankar Trust”, an organisation established by him that runs Ekal Vidyalayas in tribal areas.
