Indian Air Force opens MTS Group C recruitment; offline applications invited for six posts until July 27, 2026

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 inviting applications for the direct recruitment of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) under Group C civilian posts. Eligible Indian citizens can apply through the prescribed offline application process for vacancies available at the notified Air Force Stations and Units.The recruitment drive offers six MTS vacancies under the Headquarters Maintenance Command. Candidates must send their completed application forms to the designated postal address within 30 days from the publication of the advertisement in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. The notification appeared in the June 27–July 3, 2026 edition of the publication, making July 27, 2026 the last date for receipt of applications.

Eligibility criteria and vacanciesThe recruitment is open for candidates aged between 18 and 25 years. The cut-off date for determining age eligibility is the closing date for submission of applications, July 27, 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable in accordance with the prescribed government rules.A total of six vacancies have been announced for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff. Applicants must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board or institution to be eligible for the post.Selection process and examination patternSelection will be conducted solely through a written examination. Before the test, applications will be scrutinised to verify age, educational qualifications, supporting documents and other eligibility conditions. Eligible candidates will receive call letters for the written examination.The written test will cover General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi. Candidates shortlisted after the examination will be required to produce original certificates along with copies of the annexures submitted during the application process for document verification.Offline application procedureApplications must be submitted in the format prescribed under Annexure-I of the notification. Candidates should enclose documents supporting educational qualification, age, experience, caste, PwBD status and other applicable claims. OBC applicants must provide a valid non-creamy layer certificate, while EWS candidates are required to submit a valid Asset Certificate.The application form should be typed in English or Hindi and include a self-attested recent passport-size photograph. Applicants must also enclose two additional passport-size photographs, a self-addressed envelope affixed with a Rs. 10 stamp, and clearly mention the post name and category on the envelope. Completed applications should be addressed to Commandant, IAM, IAF, Vimanapura PO, Bangalore – 560017. Applications received before publication or after the closing date will not be accepted, and postal delays will not be considered.
