The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Conductors. A total of 4,318 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the Gujarat government’s OJAS portal. The online application process is currently underway and candidates are advised to complete the registration before the last date.
Vacancy details
Through the latest recruitment drive, GSRTC aims to fill 4,318 Conductor posts across the state.Selected candidates may be posted at any department or depot of the corporation based on organisational requirements.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the Conductor post should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. Applicants must also possess basic computer knowledge as prescribed by the Gujarat government. Relevant certificates or mark sheets related to computer proficiency will have to be produced during document verification.In addition, candidates must hold a valid Conductor Licence at the time of submitting the online application. Applications with invalid or expired licences will not be considered.
Selection process
All eligible applicants will be called for an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR)-based written examination carrying 100 marks. The question paper will consist of objective-type questions, and evaluation will be carried out through the OMR system.Candidates who qualify in the recruitment process will be shortlisted according to the rules and conditions specified in the notification. Application fee
Candidates belonging to the Unreserved (General) category are required to pay an online processing fee of Rs 300 plus applicable GST.For candidates belonging to reserved categories, including Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC), women candidates, persons with disabilities and ex-servicemen, the processing fee is Rs 200 plus applicable GST.
