NEW DELHI: Former India left-arm pacer Chaminda Vaas is set to join Delhi Capitals as bowling coach for the upcoming season. The franchise has been in talks with a couple of former India bowlers but things didn’t materialise.TOI understands that the franchise had approached Zaheer Khan and Anil Kumble for the role. The franchise is going through an overhaul after two tumultuous seasons under head coach Hemang Badani, director Venugopal Rao and bowling coach Munaf Patel.Yuvraj Singh has already been appointed as the batting coach. “Talks had progressed with Zaheer to advanced levels. The franchise had approached Kumble as well but terms of appointment couldn’t be reached,” said a source.Capitals are still in the process of appointing a head coach.
