- Probationary Engineer (Electronics): 200 posts
- Probationary Engineer (Mechanical): 150 posts

BEL recruitment 2026: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must hold a four-year Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (BTech) or Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in the relevant discipline from an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-approved college.For the Electronics post, eligible disciplines include Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Communication and Telecommunication.For the Mechanical post, candidates must have an engineering degree in Mechanical discipline.Candidates belonging to the UR, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and EWS categories must have first-class marks in the qualifying degree. Candidates from the SC, ST and PwBD categories can apply with a pass-class degree, subject to the notification’s conditions.The maximum age limit for UR and EWS candidates is 25 years as of October 1, 2026. The notification provides age relaxation of three years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates and five years for SC and ST candidates. Eligible PwBD candidates can receive an additional age relaxation of 10 years.
