PATNA: A brave seven-year-old boy’s life was put at risk in the Paharpur police station area of East Champaran district in Bihar while rescuing a baby goat that had fallen into a well, video of the incident has gone viral on social media.The incident occurred on Wednesday in an English village under the Paharpur police station area. The baby goat accidentally fell into a deep well while playing and was struggling to get out. Local residents tried to rescue it, but the well was too deep.A young boy then decided to go down into the well to rescue the goat.The locals tied a strong rope around the boy’s waist and carefully lowered him into the well. Once inside, the boy held the goat and signalled to the people above, who slowly pulled them both out using the rope. Fortunately, the well was dry, which prevented any serious accident. A crowd gathered to watch the rescue and cheered the boy for his bravery, giving him their blessings. The incident shows that compassion and kindness are still alive and proves that humanity is not lost. The boy’s courage and love at such a young age are truly commendable. However, people should not have risked the life of a small child.Paharpur SHO Ajay Kumar said, “The viral video has come to the notice of the police. We are verifying the facts and identifying the exact location where the incident occurred. People should not risk the life of a child. We are investigating the matter.”
