Bengaluru: A 23-year-old married woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Rajendranagar, Koramangala. Her husband has been arrested on charges of abetment to suicide.The victim is Aliva Majhi, a native of Odisha. She married Bharat Jena in April last year despite parents opposing their relationship. Based on a complaint lodged by her brother Kruttibas, Jena was arrested and sent to judicial custody. Kruttibas alleged that Aliva was subjected to continuous cruelty, verbal abuse, threats and physical harassment by her husband and other family members. Around 1.30am on Dec 31, Krittibas went to Aliva’s house after receiving a call from a relative and found her hanging.
