Bengaluru: A 30-year-old sales executive has been arrested for allegedly cheating a woman on the pretext of marrying her.The accused, Mohammed Ishaq of Shivarama Karanth Nagar, was booked earlier this week following a complaint filed by a woman from Andhra Pradesh, who works in Bengaluru. In her complaint, the woman alleged that Ishaq befriended her through social media two years ago and later developed a physical relationship with her under the pretext of marriage. However, he began avoiding her in recent months. “When I learned that Ishaq was engaged to another woman from his community, I confronted him over the phone. He threatened me and warned me not to contact him again,” the woman stated in her complaint.The police have arrested Ishaq and are investigating further.
