CM visits Hasanamba temple, prays for prosperity in state

Hassan: CM Siddaramaiah visited Hasanamba Temple in Hassan on Wednesday and had darshan of the deity. He reached Hassan from Bengaluru and visited the temple around 2pm, some three hours beyond schedule.Siddaramaiah appreciated Hassan district in-charge minister Krishna Byre Gowda and his team of officials and public representatives for their successful effort to prioritise the viewing of the deity for the common people without succumbing to any VIP prestige during the Hasanamba festival.After visiting Hasanamba Devi and Siddeshwara Swami and performing special prayers, the CM said, “I visited last year as well. This year too, I have prayed for prosperity, peace, and tranquillity across the state, as well as rain, crops, and farmer abundance.”This time, due to excessive rain causing losses to farmers, the govt is providing additional compensation along with the NDRF fund. “We gave unprecedented crop damage compensation. I prayed at Hasanamba and Siddeshwara Swami for no crop damage situation next year,” he added.In response to additional funding for the Hasanamba festival in the state budget, the chief minister said, “I will discuss with the district administration. If needed, financial support will be provided.”Krishna Byre Gowda, MLA Shivalingegowda, MP Shreyas Patel, HUDA president Shivappa, and district administration officials were present.
