UDUPI: As part of the Centenary Celebrations of Srimad Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan, a special musical event titled “Shatha Kanta Gaayana” (Chorus of Hundred Voices) was organised on Sunday at Kalavara Varadaraj M. Shetty Degree College, Koteshwar–Halady Road. The event marked a memorable success, drawing devotees and music enthusiasts in large numbers.Over 100 selected singers from various Bhajana Mandalis across the country performed 12 devotional songs in melody, rhythm, and harmony for nearly two hours at the Sri Sudhindra Kala Vedike stage, enchanting the entire audience. The simultaneous group rendition, accompanied by musical instruments such as the harmonium, tabla, pakhawaj, and flute, added vibrancy to the performance on a beautifully designed stage.The programme was held in the divine presence of Srimad Samyamindra Tirtha Swamiji, the present pontiff of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan. More than 5,000 devotees from Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Kerala attended the event. Temple committees from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada arranged special bus services for the attendees. The spacious venue featured dedicated pavilions for seating, refreshments, and meals, all set up with meticulous planning. Special arrangements were also made for parking and cleanliness.The dedicated efforts of volunteers ensured the smooth and graceful execution of this grand event, earning wide appreciation from all attendees.
