Little but Fierce: A leopard cub became trapped in a snare set up to catch wild boars in the areca nut plantation of farmer MS Jayanna on Friday in Basavapattana, Davanagere District. Early Friday morning, Jayanna and other farmers heard the cub’s cries from their plantation near the hillside.Upon learning of the incident, forest department personnel from the Mavinakatte Range responded and rescued the cub from the trap.
