False news about DJ on SM: Case registered

Chitradurga: A case was registered on a person named Manjunath at Molakalmuru police station for spreading false news on social media, claiming that nine DJs would participate in the grand Hindu Mahaganapati procession in Chitradurga city on Sept 13. Manjunath posted on Facebook stating that nine famous DJs from Mumbai, Belagavi, Hubballi, and other places would participate in the grand procession on Sept 13. However, the district authorities already issued an order prohibiting the use of DJs during the Ganapati immersion and Eid Milad processions. Despite this, R Manjunath from Kondlahalli village in Molakalmuru taluk posted on his Facebook account ‘Manju Achar Prince’ claiming that the Chitradurga grand procession was ready to make history with nine DJs participating for the first time on Sept 13. Consequently, a case was registered against him at Molakalmuru police station under Section 126(2) of BNSS-2023, according to a district police release. The district administration has not permitted the use of any DJs in the procession. The public is urged to verify the truthfulness of news on social media and refrain from sharing false information.
