Kalaburagi: A police constable died of a heart attack while on duty in Sedam taluk Sunday morning, police said. The deceased, Manohar Pawar, 46, a resident of Lakshmana Nayak Tanda in Kalagi taluk of Kalaburagi district, was serving as a head constable at Malkhed police station in Sedam taluk. Manohar suffered a heart attack while he was on his way to Sedam tahsildar office to report for duty. He was immediately admitted to the govt hospital in Sedam town. However, he died while being transported to Kalaburagi hospital in an ambulance for further treatment, police said. He was cremated at Lakshman Nayak Tanda Monday, police said. He served in the police department for 23 years.
