Mysuru: Mysuru Zilla Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Maddikere Gopal on Friday stressed the need to educate children with values, culture, and tradition, and to respect family members. He noted that the institution of family in the nation is not only undergoing transformation, but also impacting the structure and functioning of families nowadays.He was speaking after presenting Seva Ratna awards to various outstanding personalities at a function organised by Sri Durga Foundation here.He also advocated preaching peace to children as the world is currently experiencing numerous conflicts, including wars and civil unrest.Family relationships are being destroyed nowadays. Earlier, all family members rejoiced if new relatives arrived at their home, but such a situation does not exist in the institution of family any more. Fear and anxiety grip family members in such situations, he said.Mysuru District Hotel Owners Association president M Narayanagowda was present.
