Alleging that the state govt discriminated in the internal reservation allocation, the activists submitted a memorandum to the govt through the DC. They marched from Dr BR Ambedkar Garden to Channamma Circle, blocking the road by forming a human chain. Then later raised slogans against the state govt and CM Siddaramaiah. Activist Paramesh Kyarkatti said the govt did them injustice with regard to reservation. Another leader Manjunath Rathod said that earlier the BJP govt announced a 4.5% reservation for the Banjara, Korama, Bhovi, and Korach communities. However, it is condemnable that the Congress govt announced only 5% reservation for 63 communities. He demanded that this report be reviewed and 7% reservation be given to their communities.
