Mysuru: A property dispute between two brothers ended in the murder of the elder brother in Mysuru taluk on Monday. The younger brother is accused of murdering Mahesh, 45, of Anandur, Mysuru taluk, said the Yelwala police. Mahesh had suffered grievous injuries, and was found dead in their field. His brother Ravi, 40, allegedly attacked Mahesh with a sickle after an argument over the property. Their father, Krishnegowda, and Mahesh’s wife, Lakshmi, who rushed to his rescue, were also injured in the incident, police said. The accused later fled the spot, said the police. Sources claim that Krishnegowda registered six guntas of land to his elder son, which is said to have angered Ravi. He then went to question them and attacked his brother.
