Hassan: JD(S) youth wing president Nikhil Kumaraswamy on Sunday demanded a probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) into the Dharmasthala row after launching a yatra to Dharmasthala from Kandali, on the outskirts of Hassan on Sunday.Nikhil said the truth will prevail and that Dharmasthala and Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade will come out clean. “We seek the blessings of Lord Manjunatha Swamy and Annappa Swamy to strengthen our moral support. Recently, there have been several malicious campaigns and conspiracies around Dharmasthala aimed at creating doubt. There is no political agenda here. Today, devotees from across the country are coming to see the revered deities Manjunatha Swamy and Annappa Swamy,” he said.In recent days, there was a systematic conspiracy against Dharmasthala. “Doubts and suspicions have been raised regarding the allegations. So far, the truth has not fully emerged. Anti-social forces are plotting against Dharmasthala,” he said.An investigation is needed to bring the truth to light. We have a responsibility to protect our faith, and that is everyone’s duty.
