Kalaburagi: An FIR was registered against Praveen Kumar Udugi, PDO of Suntanur gram panchayat in Alanda taluk, at Nimberga police station on Saturday. This was due to a WhatsApp status he posted, which used derogatory language towards chief minister Siddaramaiah. Mallikarjuna, a resident of Suntanur village, filed a complaint alleging that Udugi addressed Siddaramaiah inappropriately. The WhatsApp status went viral, leading to the case being registered.
