Priscilla Chan recently revealed that her eldest daughter has started “vibe-coding”, a way of creating software using AI tools and natural language prompts. However, the young tech enthusiast has one restriction at home: her mother does not allow her to build projects that are open to the internet. This includes a dating site that Max wanted to create, which Chan firmly turned down.“She’s quite limited, because Mom doesn’t let her build things that are open to the internet,” Chan told Colossus. “Like, she wanted to build a dating site. That was a no.”

Priscilla Chan also spoke about her daughter’s natural interest in creating things, saying, “She just has a desire to build things that is innate, that we didn’t teach her. It just came. She’s delighted by the idea of bringing something into the world.”Max’s interest in technology is not entirely new. Mark Zuckerberg has previously spoken about teaching his daughters basic coding through Scratch, a platform that lets children create games, stories and animations using visual blocks.The Zuckerberg children have also explored tools and activities such as Replit, Google Docs, Kano, robots and 3D printing.
