Mysuru: Virajpet MLA AS Ponnanna, who is also chief minister Siddaramaiah‘s legal adviser, has rejected claims that the Dharmasthala mass burial case is a conspiracy. Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, Ponnanna said, “The Special Investigation Team (SIT) will uncover the truth — whether it’s a conspiracy or not.” “Definitely, a group is working against Dharmasthala. We are demanding a transparent investigation. The state govt will identify the real culprits,” he said.“Is it possible to say no to an investigation? Those who lodge complaints also have certain responsibilities,” he added. “Even Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade welcomed the SIT probe into the allegations, but BJP is trying to politicise the issue,” he alleged. “We too are devotees of Dharmasthala. Why is the BJP interfering in this investigation?” the MLA questioned.
