Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, Sait said the people had decisively supported the party. However, “political power is never permanent for any individual,” he said. He added that Yathindra’s comments gave the impression that he was speaking on behalf of the high command, which he said was inappropriate. On the long-pending cabinet reshuffle, Sait took a sarcastic dig, noting that there had been talk of it happening in Jan, but “it remained unclear which year’s Jan was being referred to.” He also referred to allegations of increasing interference by Yathindra, saying such complaints were being heard from across the state.
