MADIKERI: The C and D land issue has been troubling farmers in Kodagu, and the struggle over Section-4 and Section-5 has already begun in the district.A delegation of district Congress leaders, along with two MLAs, met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to request a permanent solution to the matter.Led by MLAs A.S. Ponnanna and Mantar Gowda, the delegation met the Chief Minister at the Home Office, Cauvery, and highlighted the problems currently faced by Kodagu farmers.Responding to the delegation’s concerns, Siddaramaiah said a committee would be formed within a week to study the issue. The committee will visit the district, gather information from farmers and officials, and submit a report to the government. He assured the delegation that the farmers need not worry.Kodagu District Congress President Dharmaja Uthappa, Vice President K.M. Lokesh, former MLC Veena Achaiah, KPCC member K.P. Chandrakala, Veerendra, and others were also present.
