Mandya: Mandya district in-charge minister N Cheluvarayaswamy assured action in connection with the illegal seizure of govt land through forged documents in Nagamangala taluk.Addressing the issue in Mandya, the minister said that the assistant commissioner seized around 600 files for a detailed investigation into the alleged land-related irregularities. He revealed that the Lokayukta conducted raids in connection with earlier irregularities linked to the case, indicating the seriousness of the matter. The minister stated he personally collected information on the issue, and issued instructions to the deputy commissioner, assistant commissioner, and tahsildar to initiate immediate and stringent action.Cheluvarayaswamy pointed out the land fraud racket involved both govt officials and private individuals. Following discussions with superintendent of police (SP) VB Shobharani after the Lokayukta raids, he directed officials to take comprehensive action against all those involved in creating fake documents. He made it clear that all forged documents will be cancelled without exception. He emphasised that no official, irrespective of rank, will be protected if evidence of wrongdoing emerged.
