Ballari: On Tuesday afternoon, deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar visited the residence of Congress worker Rajashekar, who was fatally shot during a riot over a banner installation row, to console the grieving family.He shared in their sorrow, assuring them, “The Congress party is fully supportive of the family.”Later, while speaking to reporters, the deputy chief minister said, “The death of a Congress worker in the riots is extremely tragic. This incident should never have occurred. I feel the pain of Rajashekar’s family. I came to let them know that the party will always be there for them.”When asked about the family’s request for a govt job, he responded, “We will take their request into serious consideration. We will evaluate the provision of a govt job in accordance with the legal framework and processes. We will strive to take the necessary actions.”He indicated that he would not comment on other political issues related to the incident at this moment, clarifying, “The next steps will be announced after discussions with party workers.”District minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan and city MLA Nara Bharat Reddy were also present.
