Dharwad: Chandrakant Mashal, who had suffered burns while saving his son from fire, succumbed to his injuries at KIMS-RI in Hubballi on Tuesday. Chandrakant had suffered 85% burn injuries while rescuing his son from fire at his house in Santosh Nagar of Dharwad on Aug 16. He is survived by wife and a newborn baby. Three year-old Agasthya had suffered burn injuries following surge of flames in the fire pan and died instantly. Chandrakant was being treated at KMC-RI in Hubballi.
