Mysuru: The excise department officials seized 974 grams of dry ganja mixed with seeds and arrested two persons near Thopamma temple on KR Nagar–Mysuru main road on Tuesday. Excise officials were on patrol near Sai Convention Hall on Cheerahalli main road in KR Nagar town when they received information that two people parked a car by the roadside near Thopamma temple and were illegally in possession of ganja. Acting on the tip-off, officials conducted a raid and found the accused transporting ganja with the intention of selling it.The seized contraband weighed 974 grams, which was confiscated and taken into departmental custody. A case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act.
