Belagavi: A car belonging to Rajendra Prasad, a senior KAS officer and personal secretary to the deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, collided with a motorcycle near Savadatti on Thursday evening. The biker sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital but died later. Prasad suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital, according to Belagavi superintendent of police Bhimashankar Guled. Sources said Prasad was returning from Savadatti after visiting the Renuka Yallamma temple. A case has been registered at the Savadatti police station, and further investigation is under way.
