Kittur: Kittur Rani Channamma Residential Sainik School for Girls, Kittur, celebrated its 54th annual day on Sunday, Dec 14. V Rashmi Mahesh, IAS, principal secretary, school education & literacy, govt of Karnataka, was the chief guest for the event. The proceedings started with an impressive parade followed by a horse show, skating display, group yoga, Malkhamba, and band display. Over 800 cadets of the school participated in the ground events, which were followed by a spectacular display of dance, music, and artistic talents by the cadets. Students, school teachers, and group ‘D’ staff were also felicitated for their dedicated services and academic pursuits. Approximately 4,000 parents and other stakeholders attended the function. The programme was presided over by AK Kotrashetti, president, KRCMC, Kittur, and Dr Aruna K Akki, vice-president, Dr Veerendra V Teggimani, chairman, Mahantesh S Koujalagi, member-secretary, and other BOG members of KRCMC (Kittur Rani Channamma Memorial Committee), Kittur. Col (Dr) Rahul Sharma (Retd), principal, and Cdt Apoorva ND, school captain, KRCRSSG, Kittur, were present during the occasion.
