Huge python is safely captured and released in Karnataka's Avaregunda village

MADIKERI: Reptile rescuer Suresh Poojary and RRT staff member Shashi safely captured and released a huge python that was spotted in Avaregunda village near Maldare.A huge python was spotted near the Anganwadi centre next to the village community hall. Villager Sampathkumar, who saw the python, immediately informed Panchayat member Mahesh Kumar over the phone. Mahesh informed Maldare range forest officer Hamsa and requested its capture.RRT staff member Shashi and reptile rescuer Suresh Poojary arrived at the spot immediately after receiving the information. A huge python, about 12 feet long and weighing 42 kg, was safely captured and released near the Kedige hill in the Maldare forest limits with the cooperation of the forest department.
