Kodagu Gowda Samaja Union files plaint over derogatory social media post

Madikeri: The Kodagu Gowda Samaja Union filed a complaint against a person who posted derogatory messages on social media about freedom fighter and martyr Subedar Guddemane Appaiah Gowda. The complaint was given to the Kodagu additional superintendent of police. On Oct 31, the death anniversary of freedom fighter Guddemane Appaiah was observed in Madikeri and across the district. Following this event, a resident shared a post commemorating the sacrifices of the freedom fighter on social media. However, in the same post, a person allegedly posted derogatory messages against Guddemane Appaiah Gowda. As a result, the Gowda Samaja Union submitted a complaint. President of the union, Ananda Karandlaje, and the office bearers complained to the ASP Dinesh Kumar and sought action.
