Bengaluru: Rail passengers will have to wait longer for the Vistadome coach on the scenic route along Western Ghats and coastal Karnataka. Initially cancelled until Oct 31, South Western Railways have now officially extended the suspension of the tri-weekly Gomteshwara Express, which features Vistadome coaches, until Dec 14.The suspension of the service was announced nearly six months ago due to ongoing electrification work in the ghat section between Sakleshpur and Subramanya Road. The Gomteshwara Express, operated by SWR, is increasingly popular among tourists during the monsoon season due to its unique Vistadome coaches. These coaches, equipped with glass panels on the roof, offer passengers panoramic views of the scenic Western Ghats and coastal Karnataka.
