MANGALURU: Doctors from the Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital (DSMH) in Kateel successfully performed Direct Anterior Total Hip Replacement Surgery using the Biorad Medisys DAA Instrumentation System. According to a release, this advanced surgery was carried out by a team led by Orthopaedic Joint Replacement Specialists Dr Vikram G K Bhat and Dr Sudhindra Karnad, along with Anaesthetist Dr Anusha Nayak.Speaking about the approach, Dr Vikram said, “Direct Anterior Hip Replacement provides excellent outcomes as it is a muscle-sparing approach and significantly improves postoperative recovery and function.
