Bengaluru: Police are on the lookout for two women and a man who purchased a newborn girl for Rs 2.5 lakh from a woman in DJ Halli, east Bengaluru, a few weeks ago.The incident came to light when a woman filed a complaint with DJ Halli police, claiming the three accused – Amuda, Ramya and Kannan – purchased her child in the hospital where she had gone for delivery. “I have four children and the last one, a girl, was born in the last week of July. Amuda, Ramya and Kannan bought the child by paying Rs 2.5 lakh on July 27. Now, I want her back,” the child’s mother said.Based on her complaint, police booked three persons under BNS Section 143 (human trafficking). “The mother will also face legal action once we find the three suspects and the child,” an investigating officer said.
