Kolar: Two tenth-standard girls of a high school in Narasapur, Kolar district, went missing Friday morning, sparking panic among their families. The girls reportedly left home claiming they were going to school but did not return in the evening. When their parents visited the school to inquire, they were shocked to learn that the girls had not attended classes that day.After unsuccessfully searching relatives’ homes, the families approached the Kolar women’s police station late Friday evening. According to PSI Saraswathamma, the parents initially planned to continue searching throughout the night before filing a formal complaint. A complaint was officially lodged Saturday morning and police are on the lookout for the missing girls.The incident comes close on the heels of a similar case earlier in Mulbagal, where two girls aged 14 and 11 went missing Friday morning. In Mulbagal also, the girls left home on the pretext of attending school but instead wandered around various locations in Kolar. Once the parents realised the girls had not gone to school, they lodged complaints with police. Cops swung into action and circulated the girls’ photos on social media, seeking public assistance to trace them. Both the girls were eventually traced to Kolar and handed back to their parents late Friday evening. However, police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding these incidents.These cases have raised concerns among local residents about children leaving home unsupervised and highlighted the need for increased vigilance by families and schools. Authorities have urged parents to maintain close contact with their children and immediately inform police in case of any unusual absence.
