Hassan: As many as 3.7 lakh devotees visited Hasanamba Temple to have darshan of the presiding deity on Friday.Despite the huge crowd and long queue, devotees thronged the temple and had darshan of the goddess. Some waited for as long as seven hours. As large crowds continued to arrive, the waiting time for darshan is likely to increase further, according to district minister Krishna Byre Gowda, who is monitoring the situation.However, there was no darshan between 2pm and 3.30pm on Saturday, and from 12 midnight to 6am on Sunday.Due to special rituals scheduled as per tradition, there will be no darshan from Sunday midnight to Monday 6am. Because of this, the waiting time may increase even more, the minister said.According to DC K S Latha Kumari, devotees with Rs 300 ticket are getting darshan after a 4-6 hour wait, and those with Rs 1,000 ticket are getting darshan within two hours. Devotees have been advised to come prepared, as rain is expected to lash the district as per forecast.
