Mysuru: Five passengers of a KSRTC bus suffered injuries after the vehicle stopped upon hitting a tree on Chamundi Hills Road late on Friday. Assistant commissioner of police (traffic) M Shivashankar confirmed the incident, and said the injured are being treated at hospitals in Mysuru city. Sources claimed the bus driver hit an avenue tree, which was illuminated as part of the Dasara celebration, to avoid hitting oncoming cars. Siddhartha Nagar traffic police are investigating.
