Mysuru: Mysuru City police have imposed a one-way traffic rule around Mysuru Palace and major roads between 3pm and midnight from Sept 22 to Oct 2, to facilitate the smooth movement of vehicles during the Dasara festival. Police have also banned on-road parking in the heart of Mysuru.All vehicles must move in an anti-clockwise direction around Mysuru Palace, starting from the North Gate – Old Statue Circle, Chamarajendra Wadiyar Circle, – Krishna Raja Circle, New Sayyajirao Road, Rachaiah Circle, Basaveshwara Circle – Gun House Junction – BN Road, Hardinge Circle, and Albert Victor Road from 3pm onwards on all days. Vehicles must move in a clockwise direction starting from Krishnaraja Circle – Visvesvaraya Circle (Ayurvedic Circle), Irwin Road – Nehru Circle – Ashoka Road, Chamaraja Wadiyar X Circle, and then to KR Circle.On Old Bank Road from Gandhi Square to Sayyajirao Road, vehicle movement is allowed in a one-way direction from east to west. On Ashoka Road from Dawood Khan Road junction to Nehru Circle, vehicles are allowed only from north to south. On Banumaiah Road, vehicles are allowed from Chamaraja Double Road Junction to Banumaiah Chowk from south to north.On Thyagaraja Road, vehicle movement is allowed from N Madhavarao Circle, Agrahara Circle, to Chamaraja Double Road Junction. On Lokaranjan Road, vehicles are allowed from Circus Ground Junction to Hardinge Circle. On Chandragupta Road, vehicles are allowed from BN Road Junction to Ashoka Road Junction. On Shalivahana Road, Zoo Road, vehicle movement is allowed from S Linganna Circle to FK Irani Circle.A release from the city police stated that on-road parking on all roads in the central business district is restricted during the celebration.Additionally, the movement of KSRTC and private buses has been provided with alternate routes and stops within the city.
