Mysuru: A week ahead of the grand inauguration of Dasara festival atop Chamundi Hills, BJP MLA TS Srivatsa on Monday expressed dissent over the selection of International Booker Prize winner Banu Mushtaq for the event.Speaking to reporters, the lone BJP MLA representing Mysuru said: “We had accepted the selection of writer Nisar Ahmad, as he had faith in God and our religion. However, Banu Mushtaq does not share those beliefs.”Srivatsa said he intends to discuss the matter within the party and consult senior functionaries before deciding the future course of action.
