Mangaluru: BV Kakkilaya Inspired Oration 2025 will be held under the aegis of Hosatu monthly magazine, MS Krishnan Trust of Bengaluru, and Samadarshi Vedike, Mangaluru, at Ravindra Kala Bhavana of University College Mangaluru, Hampankatta, at 10am on Sept 14. Justice Govind Mathur, former chief justice of Allahabad High Court, will deliver the BV Kakkilaya Inspired Oration 2025 on the topic ‘Balancing Constitutional and Social Morality in Indian Context’ on the occasion. Bevinje Vishnu Kakkilaya was a freedom fighter, leader of the Karnataka unification movement, secretary of the Karnataka unit of the Communist Party of India (CPI), and a member of the first Rajya Sabha and Karnataka state assembly. He was an award-winning writer and thinker known for his sharp intellect, vast knowledge, and great values. Kakkilaya dedicated his life to building a secular, casteless, progressive, socialist society that provides equality to all, said organisers.
