Mangaluru: Activist Mahesh Shetty Thimarody has filed a complaint with the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is probing the alleged mass burials in Dharmasthala. In the complaint lodged with SIT chief Pronab Mohanty, Thimarody urged the agency to probe some deaths of unidentified persons that took place in guest houses between 2006 and 2010. Thimarody said he filed the complaint based on the information received under RTI. Several suspicious deaths took place inside the guest houses, he claimed. The complaint said bodies in cases pertaining to four unidentified deaths were allegedly buried through the gram panchayat declaring them as ‘unclaimed’. “There is a suspicion that all these could be murders,” Thimarody stated. The deaths mentioned in the complaint pertain to a 50-55-year-old unidentified man reported on Feb 28, 2006; woman reported on April 13, 2006; 30-35-year-old man reported on Aug 3, 2007; and unidentified man reported on Sept 28, 2010. According to him, all these deaths are recorded as unidentified death reports (UDR) in police records. Thimarody also urged the SIT to conduct probes considering the deaths as suspected murders by registering FIRs.Meanwhile, Vittal Gowda, uncle of Sowjanya, who was murdered in 2012, has made claims that multiple human remains were found at Banglagudde in Dharmasthala.
