UDUPI: A 22-year-old M.Pharm student lost Rs 68,000 in an online fraud after an unknown person transferred the amount from her HDFC Bank account to another account through Google Pay.The complainant stated on Sept 6, while checking Google Pay on her mobile phone, he noticed that a sum of Rs 68,000 was transferred without her knowledge from her HDFC Bank account to a Kotak Mahindra Bank account through Google Pay. In this regard, a case was registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station under Sections 66(C) and 66(D) of the IT Act, and Section 318(4) of the BNS.
