Mangaluru: A case was registered in connection with delivering a provocative speech during an anti-cow slaughter protest in Perne village, Bantwal taluk, on Sept 6. A protest organised by Gau Mata Samrakshana Chaluvalli Perne near Kadambu Karla Rama Dwara, condemning cow slaughter, was held between 10.30am and 11.30am. During the protest, Ganaraj Bhat Kedila addressed the gathering and, with the intent of creating religious and communal hatred, allegedly delivered a provocative speech aimed at inciting enmity between groups and communities. In this regard, a case was registered at Uppinangady police station under Section 353(2) of BNS 2023, and further legal action is being taken.
