2 die after falling from 4th floor of mall in Mysuru; case filed against manager

MYSURU: Two persons died after falling from a four-storey mall in Mysuru on Monday evening while trying to remove an advertisement board from the top floor. The deceased have been identified as Sunil, 30, from Hunsur taluk, who worked as a technician at the mall in Jayalakshmipuram, and Chandru, 25, a resident of Mysuru city. Police Commissioner Seema Latkar confirmed the incident. According to police, while removing the board from the fourth floor, Sunil lost his balance and cried for help. Chandru, who was coming out of a cinema hall in the mall, tried to hold the technician’s hand to save him, but both fell straight to the ground. They suffered severe head injuries and were rushed to the hospital. One was brought dead, and the other succumbed to injuries later. Police have filed a case against the mall manager.
