Former Miss Switzerland Beatrice Keul has alleged that US President Donald Trump raped her in 1993 at the Plaza Hotel in New York, describing the alleged assault as “brutal”.Her account features in a new report released by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee examining Trump’s alleged links to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking operation.Keul, then a young Swiss model and financial services professional, was recruited in November 1993 by Jill Harth to attend the Donald Trump’s American Dream Pageant for contestants aged 16 to 22 in Atlantic City and New York.

What report says

During a press luncheon at the then Trump-owned Plaza Hotel, Trump approached Keul and introduced himself, saying, “Finally we meet Ms Keul”.Later that day, a representative of Trump invited Keul upstairs at the Plaza Hotel to meet the president, according to the report. Believing the meeting could help advance her career and education, she went with the representative.Keul alleged that Trump grabbed her from behind and forcibly raped her upon entering the suite, tearing her dress and leaving her bleeding and bruised. She described the assault as “brutal”.Following the alleged assault, Trump repeated his offers to arrange a visa and university admission and made her promise to remain silent, according to her account. He allegedly told her, “[T]he show must go on.”Keul said she completed the pageant in a terrified “daze”. Her passport had been taken from her on arrival, and she feared that asking for its return before the contest ended would alert Trump that something was wrong, the report said.

The Epstein link

According to her account, Trump offered to help her obtain a US visa and secure admission to New York University (NYU), repeatedly assuring her that he would take care of her arrangements. After Trump left their conversation, Epstein approached Keul, introducing himself as “I’m Jeffrey, Don’s best friend.” He allegedly offered similar assistance and invited her to a party at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in the coming months. “You know I can take care of you. We organize many parties with Don,” Epstein said according to Keul’s account. After the assault, she returned to Switzerland and declined to participate in another Trump-sponsored pageant in Hawaii several weeks later. According to the report, Trump called her in Switzerland several months after the alleged assault and again offered to arrange a visa and admission to NYU. She declined.

White House denies allegations

The White House rejected Keul’s allegations. “None of these allegations are true,” People quoted White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis as saying.Bis described the report as “nothing more than a desperate attempt by crazed Democrats to distract Americans from the surging Republican momentum driven by President Trump’s historic achievements.”She added, “The President kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club at Mar-a-Lago because he was a creep, and he has been fully exonerated of anything related to Epstein.”Trump has not been charged with a crime in connection with Keul’s allegations. The report examines claims concerning his links to Epstein, who was accused of running a sex trafficking operation involving underage girls.
